Introduction

The computer has been the most important invention ever made by Americans. Computers have been called “The Computer that Changed the Word,” and Time’s “Machine of the Year.” The first electronic digital computer was made in 1940 and 1945, in the United Kingdom and United States.

                Modern computers are based on integrated circuits, and they are billion more times capable then the earlier types of computers. They also occupy a fraction of space then the earlier computers. Some computers are small enough to fit into mobile devices, and mobile computers, and use batteries for power. Computers are also used in the military, NASA, and many other people. Computers in their various forms are icons of information, and are what most people think call “computers.” However, the computers found in many devices from IPod's and fighter jets and from toys to industrial robots are most numerous.

                The first computers were huge and took up a lot of room, they also ran slow, and now are computers are fast, efficient, and small. Some mobile devices can be used as computer such as IPhones and Androids. Computers are an important part of life they have help in many different ways such as, communication, social life, homework, work, and many various things. Communication with computers is a lot easier than just writing a letter, letter will take days or at weeks at the most. If you just send an email it will take seconds or minutes. The social aspect of computers are very good, some social aspect are Facebook, Twitter, My Space, Instagram, Tumblr, and many other sites that you can go and talk to other people. If you work or are doing a project for homework it will take a long time and will cost you a lot of money to buy books. Computers are more efficient then just buying books. 

Discovery

While researching information for this project. I learned a lot of new things about computers. First thing is that I didn't know that computers can take numbers and put them into cell number. The second thing is that before Windows was call "Windows," it was originally called "Interface Manager." The final thing is the worlds first gigabyte disc was made in 1980. The disc weighed 550 lbs. and the price was $40,000.
